Every year for i think 4 years, my family has gathered at Easter to have a sugar cookie decorating contest.  I give you Cookie-palooza 2008!  Please notice how none of the winners are my designs.  My fiance, however, racked up three awards!  Go, Handsome!

Also, I should note that Grace's Most Kid-Friendly and Sarah's Best in Show are not individually featured in the photos because there was not a good enough photo.  You can see Sarah's egg with the flower on it, though, which is Best in Show.

In my defense, I didn't get a chance to explain my vision.  I had a set of four chicks (ducks) that represented earth, wind, fire, and water which I thought were very good.  Regardless, I made the cookies and the icing, so I certainly contributed.  :D

The new job certainly keeps me busy.  No time to post, little time to chat or do anything but fulfill the needs of my customers.  It's a living.  Today is Good Friday, but the Red Cross never sleeps.  The problem, however, is that few of my customers will be working today.  The good news is that I have a moment to post!

Also, it's been a year and a month or so since I smoked a cigarette.  I'm so glad I don't really miss it.  I won't get cocky or anything, just in case cravings come back.  For now, I'm just going to enjoy being pretty dern healthy and happy.

HRC and Logo were co-sponsoring a forum of the Democratic Presidential candidates, asking them the important questions about GLBTQ rights issues.  Please take a look at the following links when you have time - note the genuine desire to support gay rights without whole-heartedly supporting equality.  Very perplexing, if you ask me... but it's almost like watching my relatives figure out what to do with me, and that's a perspective I can understand.
